His macho looks in movies like Death race, expendables and Furious 7 has made a big impact on his fans. Now he is working on his body for his upcoming two movies which are ‘The fate of the Furious’ and ‘Meg’. So let’s talk about this athlete cum Hollywood actor’s workout routine and diet.

When a news reporter asked him about his workout, Jason answered “f%&king horrible, f@%king nauseating, f*&king murder, f@&king nightmare, and f%@king priceless.” While preparing for his body shape as a convict for the movie “death race”, Jason Statham, he rambled in the yard at California’s state prison to check out how the inmates got into that Jason admiringly calls “prison shape”. And he notices that they work on strength training with few equipment. They didn’t have a lot of equipment which you normally have in the gyms these days.

They work on their full body weight exercises with old-school techniques. And Statham found few good things in it and added them in his own workout routine. Statham works out 6 days a week. Jason’s gym trainer is Logan Hood, who has trained all the actors of Hollywood movie 300 for their Spartan shape.

  • He likes to do different and new exercises to make his body more flexible with doing different types of body movements through exercise.

  •  He likes to take note of every progress through the workouts. it is inevitable that one will get faster, fitter and stronger. So, it is important to record everything to increase the success rate.

Jason works out on both weight lifting and cardio in a workout session. Heavy compound movements like deadlift or squats. Using various exercises and circuit training with light weight dumbells or barbells.

  • Jason Statham starts with 6-8 different movements for circuit training. He works with splitting them into upper and lower body or other body parts such as chest and shoulders, quads, arms and back, one session and glutes, hamstrings the next.
  • He warms up for 15 minutes on a cardio machine at a speed of 25 strokes per minute.
  • 10-15 reps with a minimum of 3 sets per exercise.
  • He only takes 30-45 seconds rest between each exercise in circuit training.
  • He finishes his session with crunches and leg raise, 3 sets each of 30 reps each.

JASON STATHAM DIET PLAN

He concentrate on eating healthy and clean food, with high protein and low carbs and some healthy fat also. He takes 5 meals a day. Jason’s daily meal plan is as follows:

  • Post workout – 2 scoops of protein powder.
  • Breakfast – Fresh pulpy orange juice with oats and 5 eggs.
  • Lunch – Brown rice with steamed veggies and tofu.
  • Evening – Chicken salad with veggies
  • Dinner – Vegetable salad with fish or peanut butter with brown bread.
  • He drinks at least 4 liters of water every day.
